    Still one of the best old school plate lunch places in Kaimuki or Honolulu.

    If you're in a hurry, you can call in your order and just go pay and pick it up.  Remember, you need to be patient as its aunties running the front and taking orders.

    Also, for you long timers coming here, you can take a penny and leave a penny. Or nickel or dime right above the counter window ledge. As long as it evens out you're good.

    My go to and their specialty is their bento.  Sauce on the rice costs extra and honestly, not worth the $0.50 so suggest you pass on this option.

    Stay away from Waikiki strip if you are looking for local food.

    The fish plates here are solid!  Over the past month I have gotten the teriyaki ahi belly, monchong, and mahi mahi.

    The fish is fresh!  I don't understand how they can serve fresh fish and such low prices.  And the portions are quite large for fish.  

    Their other plate lunches and bentos are good too but it's really the fish that steals the show.

    I really like how they cook the mahi mahi on the flat top instead of frying it in oil.  It allows the batter to get crispy to offer a different texture, but it doesn't taste greasy.

    This is one of the better places on Oahu to get a solid plate lunch.

    Good plate lunch place. It's comforting to know that there are still some places to get lunch without breaking the bank. The BBQ burgers and fries are a great combo. Cheap, too!

    Why doesn't this place have more stars? Fresh seafood daily for under $10! They have everything you could possibly want. It's so delicious and you can't beat the prices. Their Hawaiian plate is just as good as Rainbow's but $3 cheaper. But their best is their teri ahi plates!
